Inspired by the unique beauty and nuances of black skin, Black Opal was created by a trio of passionate individuals who combined their talents and experiences to develop the first technologically advanced beauty and skincare line. For over 28 years, Black Opal has offered award-winning, high-quality, high-performance make-up and skincare for people of colour. We are Celebrity Makeup Artists’ Choice with richly pigmented and dermatologists-approved skincare.
From the first product launch in 1994 to the many other innovations that would follow, Black Opal found instant success with millions of women, not only here in the U.S., but also around the world with its state-of-the-art solutions for hyperpigmentation, oil-control, shade matching and more.
As time has gone on, our founders recognize the need for Black Opal to evolve, not only to remain appealing to cherished loyal customers, but also to realize the opportunity that comes with an increasingly diverse world. Black Opal has become a part of today’s culture. We are a celebration of all tones and we invite all women to celebrate their shade of beauty with Black Opal.
